Can Homeopathy address congenital abnormality? Part II

Can Homeopathy address congenital abnormality? Part II

A 24 years girl visited me with her father at 3rd June 2020 with the complaint of suppressed menses for long time.

Menses appearing once in 4-5 months only after inducing with conventional hormonal treatment for more than one year.

Her Gynecologist suggested ultra sound, which is performed at 7th October 2019, showed- small sized uterus(5.5× 2.3 ×2.2 cm)

Uterine Hypoplasia is a congenital abnormality and a non-treatable condition.

She had the sensation as menses would appear. Her vaginal discharge was profuse and gushing. She said, I feel like menses appeared but when I check, I could see the watery discharge mimicking menses, wetting my under garments. Sometimes I feel that it is gushing below like a tap.

Her other complaint was itching at vulva, frequent urine day and night and sometimes scanty urine, tired feeling from lower back to legs.

She further added, I feel Sleepiness all day as my sleep is not calm. I wake frequently even without any disturbance.

Semiotic observation- Pale face, overweight, clearing throat while talking.

Following rubrics considered-

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – MENSES – suppressed menses – girls, in young

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – INFANTILISM; genital

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – ITCHING – Vulva

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – LEUKORRHEA – running down limbs

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – MENSES – appear – as if menses would appear

FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX – MENSES – late, too

SLEEP – SLEEPLESSNESS – accompanied by – sleepiness – daytime

SLEEP – WAKING – frequent

Senecio aureus, Sepia, Pulsatilla and Phosphorus came up respectively.

While confirmation with materia medica from Allen T. F., Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica, Senecio aureus covered all above rubrics with one characteristic symptom, suppressed menstruation, with bronchial catarrh1 and it verifies my semiotic observation too.

According to Dr. Gundrum, the fluid extract of the life root or rag wort (senecio aureus) possesses powerful hemostatic properties, which he was enabled to turn to good account in the treatment of cases of hemoptysis and hematuria. The plant has long been employed unofficially as an expectorant and diuretic, and it has been credited with a “peculiar” but undefined action on the uterine functions. Its hemostatic action is brought about through the vaso-motor nerves.2

Prescription-

Senecio aureus 200 one aqua dose given at 3rd June 2020.

Follow ups

July 2020

Menses appeared at 18th June. Leucorrhoea and sleep issue was same. Placebo given.

August 2020

Leucorrhoea reduced. Sleep-not improved.

Menses did not appear in July.

Senecio aureus 200 one aqua dose given.

October 2020

Menses appeared at 30th August. Leucorrhoea reduced. Sleep improved. No itching at vulva.

Menses did not appear in September month.

Senecio aureus 200 one aqua dose every fortnight suggested for a month.

November 2020

Menses appeared at 10th October.

Senecio aureus 1M one aqua dose given.

Sometimes we need to use high potency to complete the cure.

December 2020

Mense appeared at 13th November and 16th December.

Placebo given.

January 2021

Ultra sound done at 7thJanuary 2021, did not show any abnormality. Uterus size was appropriate( 6.4 ×3 ×4cms). Nothing abnormal found.

Conclusion-

It is said that hypoplasia of uterus is a congenital condition, usually not treatable. Homeopathic constitutional remedy helped in this case and proved itself promising in treatment of the so-called untreatable case.

Think out of the box.

Does not matter your remedy work or not; but your effort definitely works!

This patient has already visited a homeopath before me and he suggested her about child adoption in future, as she may not be able to conceive with this small uterus!

Trying is in our hand- rest is patient’s fortune.

At least ‘TRY.’
