Editorial: Mid-summer 2018
Dear Readers,
A sufferer of Neurodermatitis once said: “I would not have survived without it”.
She had had terrible Neurodermatitis for years. Her arms and legs were ‘screaming’. She was irritable and restless with the constant itching, would have difficulty restraining herself to not scratch until she bled. She would look like a mummy, with arms and legs wrapped and bandaged. Yet, if the days were bad, the nights were even worse for her. When finally asleep, she would wake at 3 am on account of the most vicious itching spells tormenting her slumber. As a result she was frequently exhausted. Everything was dry about her, sore and aching. She felt better in between meals and not eating at all improved her mood and ameliorated the itching.
Cardiospermum halicacabum made a world of difference for her. Albeit not being the total cure for her Neurodermatitis, it would calm the pruritus, would silence her irritability and would ease her suffering. Cardiospermum was her constant and much appreciated companion. She would take it and shortly afterwards was relieved of the itching and the soreness. She gradually regained an uninterrupted sleep pattern, and as she said “regained a life”.
Her constitutional remedy finally resolved the Neurodermatitis, leaving a penny sized eczema at her left ankle that did not bother her much. This last small eczema remained for years and one day was simply gone.
